Acupuncture has enjoyed ever increasing popularity among a vast segment of the patient population.
A significant and growing body of evidence substantiates its efficacy for a wide variety of clinical
conditions. Acupuncture is now, in many cases, considered a physician-reimbursable procedure by
third-party payers, thus reflecting its being accepted as good medical practice. It is therefore
imperative that more physicians actively learn and practice these techniques as they are best positioned to deliver this
therapeutic modality synergistically with "modern" or "Western" medical interventions. The usefulness
of this course, as well as the enthusiasm with which it is received annually by its participants, is well
documented.
